Unsurprisingly, the Mike Tomlin-led Pittsburgh Steelers have gone another season without a playoff win. The Steelers ultimately lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs, 28-14, marking the Steel City’s fifth straight loss.
This disappointing first-round exit in 2024 not only marks their sixth straight playoff loss but is also the first time since 2009 that the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost five consecutive games.
Fifteen seasons ago, the then 6-2 Steelers began their losing streak in Week 10 of the 2009 season, falling to the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Oakland Raiders, and Cleveland Browns to drop to 6-7.
Andrew Filliponi, a radio host for the popular Pittsburgh sports radio station 93.7 The Fan, highlighted this disappointing news on social media.
1st 5 game losing streak for the Steelers since 2009.

Is this five-game losing streak, combined with the Steelers’ ongoing inability to win a playoff game, enough to push Art Rooney II to make a change at head coach?
Only time will tell, but the Steelers’ Wild-Card loss perfectly encapsulates the disappointment fans have felt for nearly 3,000 days since the team’s last playoff win.
