Every time we all think the Pittsburgh Steelers are done they find a way to squeak out a win and give all of Steeler Nation some hope. This was the case on Monday night when the Steelers made a comeback to beat the lowly Indianapolis Colts and improve to 4-7 on the year.
Our friends over at Touchdown Wire updated their NFL power rankings and rewarded the Steelers for their win with a four-spot jump to No. 22. Here is what they had to say about this version of the Steelers:
As Kenny Pickett gains more experience, and the defense remains dominant with T.J. Watt back in the lineup, the Steelers are a team no one wants to see on their December slate. Perhaps Mike Tomlin can avoid his first losing season after all.
The point in this that cannot be overlooked what head coach Mike Tomlin’s consecutive streak of non-losing seasons. Sitting at 4-7, Pittsburgh needs to finish the year at no worse than 5-1 in its final six games. A tall order to be sure for any team, much less this one.
