Steelers claim former Ravens LB Jeremiah Moon off waivers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have claimed outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon off waivers. The Baltimore Ravens waived Moon on Thursday to make room on the active roster for tight end Mark Andrews ahead of the AFC Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday.

After going undrafted out of Florida in 2022, Moon signed with the Ravens, where he spent his rookie season on the practice squad, and this season, he bounced back and forth from the practice squad to the active roster. Moon played in eight games for Baltimore this season, making 12 total tackles and forcing two fumbles in limited action.

Moon is set to become an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, meaning the Steelers will have to tender him to keep him on the roster, or else he will be free to sign with another team in free agency.
