The Pittsburgh Steelers have never finished last in the AFC North. Ever. And they have never finished last in any division since 1988. In terms of active streaks, no other team comes even close to that mark.
But according to BetMGM, the Steelers have the slimmest odds to win the division this year.
It’s important to keep in mind that this isn’t the first time the Steelers have been considered long shots to win the AFC North. Here’s how the odds break down:
Baltimore Ravens: +135
Cincinnati Bengals: +165
Cleveland Browns: +500
Pittsburgh Steelers: +700
The Steelers finished third in the AFC North last season but still mustered a 10-7 record and made the playoffs as a wild card.
Pittsburgh has won the AFC North seven times with head coach Mike Tomlin in charge, most recently in 2020. However, the Steelers have made the playoffs 11 times under Tomlin. The last time the Steelers won a playoff game, however, was all the way back in the 2016 season.
