Steelers best offensive lineman lost for the season

The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ offensive line is falling apart at the seams. Injuries to starters aren’t helping matters, and today’s news is the worst yet.

Starting right guard James Daniels is done for the season after suffering an Achilles tear in the Steelers’ Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Since joining the Steelers as a Chicago Bears free agent in 2022, Daniels started 36 games and was consistently their highest-graded offensive lineman. Daniels was in a contract year, set to hit free agency in 2025.

Pittsburgh is already depleted up front with fellow guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral) and rookie tackle Troy Fautanu (knee) out with injury.

Seumalo is working his way back to the field after he returned to practice last week in a limited capacity. Fautanu had surgery to repair ligament damage on a dislocated kneecap and could return should the Steelers make the playoffs.
