Steelers begin removing Heinz ketchup bottles from stadium

The changing of the guard has begun for the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Monday the franchise began the physical process of converting Heinz Field over Acrisure Stadium as they began removing the massive Heinz Ketchup bottles from the scoreboard.

The Steelers and brokerage firm Acrisure agreed on a new 15-year naming rights deal recently which means after a 20-year run, the Steelers will no longer play at Heinz Field and instead it will be formally Acrisure Stadium, despite the fact most fans aren’t going to call it that.

Steelers President Art Rooney II had indicated the bottles might stay as part of an advertising agreement between the team and Kraft Heinz. Unfortunately it seems this isn’t going to happen as the Heinz sinage comes down.
