With autumn in full swing, there's nothing better than a cosy staycation with beautiful scenery just a short drive away from our homes.

With a Japanese themed garden the setting is bound to look stunning in autumn and winter. The shepherd's hut features an open-plan living space with a kitchen and a cosy sitting area.
There's also a communal 'Arctic Hut' where you can relax and enjoy an indoor barbecue and firepit as well as more outdoor seating. The accommodation sleeps two people and includes a double bed and a wall-mounted TV with Freeview.
Local attractions within easy reach include the Holker Valley where you can enjoy scenic hikes, the Lakeland Motor Museum, the 16th-century Bigland Hall, the Rounsea Wood and Mosses National Nature Reserve and the River Leven.
There's also a handy selection of pubs in Newby Bridge and Anglers Arms which is a little closer to home. Visitors can continue onto Ulverston where you will find attractions including Ulverston Golf Club, the Shed 1 Gin Distillery, and the Laurel and Hardy Museum.
Also close by is The World of Beatrix Potter and the Windermere Jetty Museum. The Woodman’s Huts offer a unique stay that's a little bit different to a hotel with plenty to see and do close by.
