Jordan Henderson has admitted he chose to ignore Manchester City's treble celebrations, though congratulated Pep Guardiola's side on their achievement.
City beat Serie A giants Inter 1-0 in Saturday's Champions League final, clinching their first European Cup at the seventh time of asking under Guardiola. This victory saw City add to their Premier League and FA Cup titles already claimed this term, missing out on only the Carabao Cup.
Liverpool could only watch on in disappointment after falling short in all competitions this term, having challenged for an unprecedented quadruple last campaign. The Reds will have hopes of bouncing back next year and competing for the biggest prizes, though must first strengthen their squad to a required level.
The celebrations are nearing an end for members of City's squad as players prepare to take part in international fixtures, but Henderson has made clear he has actively switched off from all the noise regarding the treble winners.

"I haven't watched too much, to be honest. I tried to stay away from that," explained the Liverpool captain. "The lads [at City] will have been enjoying themselves, for sure, over the last few days. They have been incredible this season and fair play to them, they deserve everything they have achieved. They will have been celebrating hard over the past few days, I would imagine."
Henderson could be called upon by Gareth Southgate in the coming days as England prepare to take part in Euro 2024 qualifiers versus Malta and North Macedonia. Asked whether fans may also be treated to seeing Trent Alexander-Arnold operating in his new role, the 32-year-old told talkSPORT: "Potentially. It has worked really well for Liverpool.
"Trent is an outstanding player and a player you want in your team because of the attributes he has and it has worked really well for us at Liverpool towards the back end of the season. He had a new lease of life and hopefully he can transcend that into the national team. Whatever role that is, he needs to be ready and able to perform to the levels he has been."
