Statement after emergency service presence outside Victoria Centre in Nottingham

A person who experienced a medical emergency outside Victoria Centre has been taken to hospital, East Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed. Paramedics were seen outside the city shopping centre just before 8.30am this morning, Wednesday, May 17, near Taco Bell, where Mansfield Road meets Milton Street.

Images show one ambulance appearing to attend to a patient in the busy street. East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the incident and said they attending to a medical emergency.

In a statement, it said: "“We received a call at 8.34am on 17 May to the Victoria Centre Shopping Centre in Nottingham. The caller reported that someone was experiencing a medical emergency. We sent a crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.”
