State Farm To Offer Policy Renewals For LA Wildfire Victims

State Farm Insurance has pledged to provide policy renewals to homeowners impacted by the recent wildfires in the Los Angeles area, according to Mayor Karen Bass. This commitment comes as a relief to residents in areas where other insurance companies have been withdrawing their services.

Mayor Bass expressed her appreciation for State Farm's decision, stating, 'We know in some of the affected areas, insurance companies were already pulling out, and the fact that State Farm is not going to do that I think is very encouraging.'

State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara had previously declared a one-year moratorium on policy cancellations and non-renewals for individuals residing in regions identified by the governor's state of emergency declaration. In response to this directive, State Farm has confirmed that they will be honoring the Commissioner's call to action.
