Speaking to the media after Wednesday’s practice, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said QB Zach Wilson and the starters will play about 1-2 series in Friday’s preseason opener against the Jets.
We’ve been seeing teams play their starters less and less in the preseason, some not playing at all. The Jets’ starters won’t completely sit out, as they’ll get at least a few game reps against the Eagles. So albeit small, we’ll get our first chance to see the 2022 Jets in action.

As expected, Saleh also confirmed the quarterback rotation will be Wilson, Joe Flacco and Mike White. We’ll see how much work Flacco and White get. Perhaps a half each?
The Jets head to Philadelphia on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM EST.
