Sara Davies nurses BAFTA hangover as after-parties leave stars worse for wear

It is the morning after the night before for many celebs as BAFTAs after party lasted into the early hours.

The British Academy Television Awards returned on Sunday for a ceremony full of glitz and glamour - and the stars certainly made up for lost time.

Plenty clearly let their hair down as the winners were being announced and it was a long night for some as they provided plenty of evidence this morning.

Dragons Den entrepreneur Sara Davies recovered with a sausage bap from Greggs after her pal covered her in a Minions blanket in the back of a car at 6am.

To get credit, she looked fresh come 8o'clock as she started filming on Sewing Street.

Steph McGovern was quick to let everyone know how she was feeling after a heavy night.

The Packed Lunch presenter showed off plenty of boozy Instagram shots as the after party got into full swing.

But this morning she was pounding the pavement, possibly regretting the amount she put away.

She simply captioned the short video 'dying' - and to make matters worse, her cold sore had returned.

The very glam awards was once again hosted by comedian and The IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade.

But fans of critically acclaimed Channel 4 drama It's A Sin were fuming after it failed to win anything - despite the show being up for five gongs.

BAFTA also faced accusations bosses muted and censored clips with some branding the editing "appalling".

Fans flocked to twitter to make their point after the gripping drama was totally overlooked.

One wrote: "Gutted for It’s a Sin, one of the most important tv shows of this generation and completely snubbed despite being nominated for the most awards. The sound censoring was also a joke. #BAFTAS."

"Are we not allowed to talk about Aids at 6.30pm??!! If they're cutting the sound for swearing then show a clip without it!!" another fumed.

A third raged: "#BAFTAS the way the editing is on this is appalling, either put it on later or don't show it at all. Also stop cutting the sound out when ITS A SIN is shown. And also... Why was the #Gogglebox speech cut?! SORT IT OUT!!!"
