Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket, is prepared for launch

The Starliner spacecraft has successfully separated from the Atlas V rocket and is now utilizing its own engines to propel itself towards the International Space Station. This marks a significant milestone in the mission, as the spacecraft is now on its way to rendezvous with the orbiting laboratory.

Williams and Wilmore, the astronauts aboard the Starliner, are embarking on a journey that will last more than 24 hours before they reach the International Space Station. The docking of the spacecraft with the station is scheduled to take place at 12:15 p.m. ET on Thursday.

During the journey, the astronauts will undergo various procedures and checks to ensure the safety and success of the mission. The spacecraft's systems will be closely monitored, and any adjustments or corrections needed will be made as necessary.
