Stargaze in a cabin that's 'perfect for a colourful autumn staycation'

Staycations are incredibly popular at the moment, with many families choosing to stay closer to home instead of venturing to the airport in a mad rush.

A good old staycation removes all the hassle of busy airports and can sometimes be more affordable. Luckily for us Brits, there are plenty of places close to home that we can visit with beautiful scenery.

Hutton John Estate in Cumbria, has just launched Highgate Cabins. Each cabin is set within the Estate's 'ancient woodland' Brow Wood. A short drive from Ullswater, the cabins offer a quiet retreat away from the main Lake District with views of Blencathra and beyond.

Each cabin has cosy interiors, a private outdoor bathtub and plenty of amenities. They are also pet-friendly and just a 10 minute drive from Penrith Station so easy to get to via train or car.

Situated in the midst of 'their own private nook', the cabins are perfect for a colourful autumn staycation. Guests will also be able to view the constellations from the overhead window in the living space, making it a trip to remember.

Described as 'perfect for courples' Highgate cabins offer a scenic getaway with direct links to London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Outside the cabin is a private decked area immersing guests in 360 degrees of nature with a double-ended outdoor bathtub sunken into the decking.

Autumn enthusiasts can enjoy quiet Lake District walks from the doorstep of the cabins on Hutton John Estate including The Brow Wood walk. A direct route from the cabins to Dacre over the rolling countryside and with breathtaking views over Ullswater can also be enjoyed. The cabins are perfect for an autumnal, stargazing trip with prices starting at around £150 per night. Find out more here.
