(Picture: Paramount)Star Trek actor William Shatner has an envy-inducing ticket to go to space on Blue Origin at 90 years old.
The star, who famously played Captain Kirk in the sci-fi saga, will make the journey onboard the New Shepard rocket with three other passengers on October 12.
Jeff Bezos' space travel company made the bombshell announcement on Monday.
He will set a new record as the oldest person to go into space, taking the title from previous passenger 82-year-old Mary Wallace ‘Wally’ Funk.
Speaking ahead of the journey, Mr Shatner hailed the extraordinary opportunity as a “miracle”.
He said in a statement: “I’ve heard about space for a long time now. I’m taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle.”
Blue Origin’s Vice President of Mission & Flight Operations Audrey Powers also will be on the same flight.
The out of this world flight last arounds 10 minutes from liftoff until landing back on earth.
It will be the company's second launch with a crew.
Last month, TMZ were the first to report rumours Mr Shatner had plans to go into space.
The gossip site claimed the actor was going to film his flight experience to include in a documentary.
He became an icon for his role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek.
