Star Trek legend William Shatner has told fans he "doesn't have long left to live".
The actor made the revelation as he announced new documentary You Can Call Me Bill about his life and career.
The 91-year-old Hollywood legend said he's making the film as a way to "reach out to his grandchildren" following his death.
The star said: "I've turned down a lot of offers to do documentaries before. But I don't have long to live.
"Whether I keel over as I'm speaking to you or 10 years from now, my time is limited, so that's very much a factor."
Shatner, who is best known for his role as Captain James T Kirk in the famous Sci fi franchise, was talking to Variety about the upcoming project, as reports the Mirror.
He has three daughters - Leslie, Lisabeth and Melanie - and five grandchildren.
He added: "I've got grandchildren. This documentary is a way of reaching out after I die."
The icon got back together with ex wife Elizabeth Martin, 64, a few months ago, three years after the $2million divorce settlement which ended their 18-year marriage.
Shatner and his fourth wife attended the Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills in January together, confirming they had reunited as the film icon's contributions to aerospace were commended at the glittering event, hosted by John Travolta.
In an exclusive interview, he told the Mirror: "My wife… she is the zest of life. She brings the flavour." The pair then discussed how best he should describe that "spice".
William suggested: "Mustard?" before Elizabeth corrected him and said: "Cinnamon."
You Can Call Me Bill was directed by Alexandre O. Philippe and it will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Texas.
