With Everton settling into the USA training camp ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Arsenal in Baltimore this weekend, the squad’s resident fashionistas Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies have been running the rule over photographs of their team-mates’ outfits under the watchful eye of former Blues player Leon Osman.
Frank Lampard’s side are preparing to face their Premier League rivals at the M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday (midnight going into Sunday UK time) but Calvert-Lewin and Davies – both noted for their daring looks – took time out from training to take a light-hearted examination of how some of the rest of the Everton squad have been looking.
Here’s a full transcript of their thoughts:
Osman: “We know how you’re both into your fashion so we’ve got some photos for you to go through, a few familiar faces, see what you make of what they’re wearing – your fashion critique.”
Calvert-Lewin: “I see [Dele's] matched the trainers with the Everton scarf. A nice touch.”
Davies: “I really like the way he’s put the sprinklers in the background!”
Calvert-Lewin: “It’s clever that. I like it. His first step out at Goodison Park and he’s set the tone, you can’t argue with that, nice.”
Davies: “Well in, Del.”
Calvert-Lewin: “His gloves really match his t-shirt and now his t-shirt matches his wash bag, I see what he’s done there and then the car in the back.”
Davies: “It’s Jordy Pienaar to a tee.”
Calvert-Lewin: “I see what he’s done there, he’s gone for the chessboard look hasn’t he?”
Davies: “It’s really in at the moment.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Star boy.”
Davies: “Bleached blond hair. Yeah, I love Ant, he’s just expressing himself as a young lad.”
Calvert-Lewin: “He’s just doing him isn’t he?”
Davies: “Yeah. I’ve got a lot of time for him.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Me too.”
Osman: “That’s the first one I’ve thought was alright.”
Davies: “He always looks well Al to be fair, I think he takes a lot of care over how he looks. Fair play to him.”
Calvert-Lewin: “He always smells nice as well.”
Davies: “Does he? You’re getting a bit too personal for me!”

Davies: “Oh, ho, ho!”
Calvert-Lewin: “In his whistle and flute. I’m having that though. Strong.”
Davies: “That’s the best one we’ve seen eh?’
Calvert-Lewin: “You’ll never see Ben Godfrey without a fresh trim by the way.”
Davies: “That’s true that. If you see him without a fresh trim, you’ve got to make a wish.”
Davies: “It’s Demarai. I wonder where he is there?”
Calvert-Lewin: “He’s picking erm…”
Davies: “Tiles for his bathroom!”
Calvert-Lewin: “Yeah, that’s the one.”
Davies: “Looks well though.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Nice. Demi always wears his caps like that on the top of his head as well.”
Davies: “It’s an interesting look. I don’t think I could pull that off.”
Calvert-Lewin: “I’m going to ask him why he does that.”
Davies: “Looks like we’ve seen a picture of the Rock.”
Calvert-Lewin: “A young Rock!”
Davies: “Go on Yerry.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Best guy ever.”
Davies: “Greatest guy yeah. Nice little leather jacket on.”
Calvert-Lewin: “A million dollars, he looks.”
Davies: “Smooth yeah.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Dwayne Johnson.”
Davies: “That’s me in Malibu. You know, just enjoying myself.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Just got back from 12 hours in the pub… left his tie there.”
Davies: “Oh come on.”
Davies: “Who’s that?”
Calvert-Lewin: “It’s Donatella (Versace, pictured with him during his visit to Milan Fashion Week last month) What do you reckon to my rig-out there?”
Davies: “It’s great yeah. I love the sweatshirt. Have you still got it?”
Calvert-Lewin: “Yeah. Good experience that. Enjoyed it.”
Davies: “Good curls as well. Did you have them curled specially?”
Calvert-Lewin: “Maybe.”
Davies: “Maybe not? Yeah, great picture.”
Davies: “Who’s this fella here, sneaked in at the end? Please tell me you were playing golf.”
Osman: “I was! Of course I was.”
Calvert-Lewin: “Just going the supermarket.”
Osman: “That was my testimonial charity golf day, a good few years back.”
Calvert-Lewin: “I like that yeah.”
Davies: “Whereabouts?”
Osman: “Formby Hall.”
Davies: “Very nice.”
Calvert-Lewin: “What were your thoughts behind that then?”
Osman: “I think I was just trying to pull it off really. I was just trying to stand out. I’d had them pants for a while and thought it’s time.”
Calvert-Lewin: “I admire the confidence there.”
Osman: “I think I’d took them off before I got to the first tee if I’m being honest. I had a complete outfit change before the first tee.”
Davies: “I always have to wear two pairs of pants when I play golf.”
Osman: “Two pants? Do you?”
Davies: “In case I get a hole in one!”
