Stanford, Dallas Baptist, Emory among No. 1 teams in first spring Mizuno WGCA polls

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its first Mizuno WGCA rankings for the spring, and there are some familiar names on top. These are the first of four rankings coming in the spring.

Stanford opens the new year as the top-ranked team in Div. I, though Wake Forest is close behind. The Cardinal got 14 first-place votes while the Demon Deacons received the remaining five.

In Div. II, Dallas Baptist University claims the top spot with eight first-place votes, while Lynn University received the remaining seven votes to open the season at No. 2.

Emory University opens the season as the unanimous No. 1 in Div. III, and Oklahoma City and Dalton State are tied for first in the NAIA poll.
