Stan Lee was working on his final superhero film before he died, according to his daughter.
The legendary Marvel comic book writer, who died aged 95 on Monday, had created a new character called Dirt Man, which he had been working on with daughter JC Lee.
Speaking about the character, she told TMZ: “It's very interesting. The last little angel that we've got tucked away is Dirt Man.
“I said, 'Daddy, please – no clatter, no steel, no any of that. Let's get down and dirty.’
“It's not over yet, we still have a little trickery.”
JC also told how she was hopeful Dirt Man would get his own origin film.
Speaking about her father’s legacy, she told how her father would “answer every fan letter that he could answer..he loved them.”
The revelation comes days after she confirmed her father had died in hospital.
In a statement she said: “He felt an obligation to his fans to keep creating.
“He loved his life and he loved what he did for a living. His family loved him and his fans loved him. He was irreplaceable.”
She did not mention his cause of death. TMZ reported an ambulance was called to his Hollywood Hills home early on Monday and that he died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.
Elon Musk, Ryan Reynolds and Edgar Wright were among those who paid their respects to the comic icon.
