Stan Kroenke has fresh $1.06bn Arsenal transfer boost amid Pep Guardiola's Declan Rice call

Arsenal are chasing some of the biggest transfers of the summer window this year. The Gunners have already set their ambitions of improving on last season's second-placed finish with a number of multi-million pound moves.

West Ham captain Declan Rice will join the club if an offer of West Ham's valuation of £100million is matched, football.london understands, while Kai Havertz will undergo his medical over the weekend ahead of his £65million move to the Emirates Stadium.

There has also been strong reports that a new and improved bid for Jurrien Timber will be placed on the table after an opening offer worth £30million was turned down.

The wait on Rice's potential arrival in north London is set to rumble on in the comings days, or weeks. Manchester City are expected to lodge a bid of their own for the England midfielder. A move that is viewed by many as a method to stop their closest league rivals of significantly improving their team.

But away from the expensive influx of incomings, Arsenal are already well-equipped for the new season. Mikel Arteta's squad is the second most-valuable squad in world football behind Manchester City, according to Transfermarkt. Compared to October 2021, the north London outfit's squad has increased a whopping €413million ($449million).

Now, the Gunners squad is valued at €976million ($1.06bn) thanks to sporting director Edu Gaspar and manager Arteta's superb work in the transfer market. The signings of Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba and Ben White have all paid off, with them worth more than what the club paid for them.

Bukayo Saka is the Gunners' most valuable player at €120million (£102.6million) with Odegaard (€90million), Martinelli (€80million) and Jesus (€80million) close behind.

The increase in squad value comes after Arsenal leapt above Tottenham and Chelsea in Brand Finance's research of brand value. The Gunners have an enormous $940million (£756.7million) brand value, which equates for commercial, marketing, PR and brand look across the world.
