Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has purchased a site in Denver as he aims to add to his company Elitch Gardens' expansive holdings in the Colorado area while he continues to back Mikel Arteta in the transfer market.
Kroenke has shown faith in Arteta over the last 18 months, trusting the Spaniard with £142m to spend last season with the acquisitions of Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu and others. That was followed up with around £115m in the summer with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira joining the club.
Arsenal have already signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton this Janaury while work is also being done to secure the signature of Jakub Kiwior and Ivan Fresneda. Football.london understands Arsenal have agreed an initial fee of £17.5million - potentially rising to £21m - with Italian side Spezia to sign Kiwior with Arteta having been keen to add a left footed centre-back to his squad as well as defensive midfield cover.

With backing from the Kroenkes ahead of this season, it was all down to Arteta to weave his magic and aim to make the club successful again. Arsenal sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League after Sunday's 3-2 win against Manchester United.
Kroenke remains highly active in his native US and has completed a new $7million (£5.6m acquisition) of a site just south of Meow Wolf, an area of Denver, Colorado which houses the Denver Broncos. Kroenke also owns the Denver Nuggets, one of the biggest NBA teams in the country, alongside the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Mammoth - Denver's respective ice hockey, association football and lacrosse teams.
This follows a major £270million deal that he conducted earlier in the month on a Los Angeles mall where he plans to move one of his other sports franchise, NFL side LA Rams.
The deal showed that he is keen to continue his portfolio growth with one of the biggest property sales in LA in the past year. Kroenke was named by Forbes as the richest person in sport, with his astronomical net worth of £8.8billion and the future certainly looks bright as Arsenal look to cement their place at the pinnacle of the English game.
