Stamford Bridge cheekily 'renamed' after Emile Smith Rowe's goal for Arsenal against Chelsea

Arsenal fans have had a lot of fun at the expense of Chelsea supporters thanks to Wednesday night's 4-2 win which ensured Mikel Arteta's side are back on track in the race for Champions League qualification.

Goals from Hale End trio Eddie Nketiah - scoring twice - Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka not only ended a run of three straight defeats for the Gunners, but it also kept a 27-year Premier League record intact and moved them level on points with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the table.

Those in attendance at Stamford Bridge, from an Arsenal perspective, certainly enjoyed themselves as they poked fun at the fact that, under restrictions imposed by the UK government, only Chelsea season ticket holders are allowed to attend home games which resulted in around 10,000 fewer supporters and that sparked a chant of: "There's nobody here, just like the old days, there's nobody here."

Although the taunting didn't stop there as it crossed over to social media during and after the final whistle. With Smith Rowe restoring the visitors' lead just before the half-hour mark, the England international is developing a knack for finding the net at Stamford Bridge having scored the winner in the corresponding fixture last season.

As a result, some Arsenal fans have cheekily decided to 'rename' Chelsea's home ground to reflect what the 21-year-old has done on his last two trips there. On Twitter, @shulture called it 'Hale End Bridge', @now_arsenaI told Smith Rowe: 'Stamford Bridge is your playground' and @Seun_AFC was in agreement by posting: 'Stamford Bridge is Smith Rowe’s playground'.

Whilst Smith Rowe has exceeded his own personal target of 10 goals across all competitions this season, he's still short of matching the demands set by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

"An incredible season for a No 10 of Arsenal means he needs to score 15 goals and give 10 assists," the Spaniard said last season. Then you are right up there with the top guys in Europe and in the league. He's got the ability to do it but he hasn't done it."

Whether Smith Rowe can achieve an 'incredible' season remains to be seen, as there are just six games remaining. In truth, the 15 goals target is arguably more attainable for the attacking midfielder as he's not improved on his two assists since the 3-1 win over Aston Villa all the way back in October.

Although, considering he has already doubled his goal contribution from the whole of last season shows that Arsenal no.10 is on the right path to matching Arteta's demands in the future if he doesn't get the required four goals and eight assists before the end of May.
