Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday virtually inaugurated new buildings constructed for the Police, Fire and Rescue Services and Prisons and Correctional Services Departments in various locations across the State at a total cost of ₹66.48 crore.
Mr. Stalin also inaugurated a memorial for police personnel who died while in service. The memorial was constructed at Egmore in Chennai at a cost of ₹25 lakh, an official release said.
Law Minister S. Regupathy, Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar, Chief Secretary V. Irai Anbu, Home Secretary S.K. Prabakar, Director-General of Police C. Sylendra Babu and senior officials were present.
