The staggering fee Matt Hancock was paid for his stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here has been revealed.
The former Health Secretary received an eye-watering £320,000 for his appearance on the ITV jungle show. He appeared on screen for 720 hours (30 days), meaning he earned £10,666 a day.
Documents published by the Houses of Commons state that Hancock received the eye-watering amount from Lifted Entertainment, ITV, with the fee being registered on January 11, 2023, reported The Mirror. At the time of appearing on the show, Hancock explained that a sum of his fee would be donated to several charities although a spokesperson was unable to confirm if all of the amounts would be donated.

They told The Mirror that Hancock "will be making a donation to St Nicholas Hospice in Suffolk and causes supporting dyslexia - including the British Dyslexia Association, off the back of his appearance," but refused to comment when asked where the rest of the money would be going.
But the 44-year-old claimed the pay cheque was not what helped him decide to go onto the show, instead, he insisted that he thought "long and hard" having initially declined an offer from ITV.
Speaking to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly in his exit interview on I'm a Celeb, the MP said: "I carry with me expectations, people think they know me. Actually, they don't. They know Matt Hancock from the TV."
Discussing being grilled he said it was a good thing as he "could say exactly what he thought". Dec asked him: "Do you understand those reactions?"
He replied: "Of course, I live with it. One of the things I'm really grateful for was we had grown-up conversations and discussions". Ant added: "And after a while they drew a line between [you] the politician, and [you] in the camp".
He said: "We are normal people. I know it was controversial me coming here, we are all human. We've all got serious sides, but also a nicer side. I was just totally myself [in there] and I'm sorry for that".
