SCOTTISH transport company Stagecoach has withdrawn more than 50 buses in one city due to "unforeseen circumstances" this morning.
The provider apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The news comes after Stagecoach released a statement in October revealing it had been attempting to manage mass driver shortages.
A spokesperson said: “We apologise for the recent service disruptions. While we’re making progress in recruiting drivers in Inverness, it takes time to complete their training.
“We’re doing our best to operate as many journeys as possible with our current resources and expect service to improve.”
Today, bus routes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 16 are affected by the cancellations.
Route three has 12 cancellations and route one has 15.
Several weeks in the past month have seen more than 100 buses cancelled around Inverness.
Stagecoach has been approached for comment.
