Staff predictions for Chargers vs. Broncos in Week 6

The Los Angeles Chargers kick off Week 6 against the Denver Broncos.

Who is going to come out victorious?

Here is a look at the predictions from each of our writers at Chargers Wire:

Gavino:

The Chargers seem to struggle when they travel to Denver to play the Broncos, but those games usually come late in the season. They break the mold when they face rookie Bo Nix, who has experienced growing pains early in his pro career. Denver’s defense has been dominant, so expect it to be a low-scoring affair. But given the Bolts are fresh off their bye week and motivated to get back on track after suffering two consecutive losses, they squeak this one out. Chargers 17, Broncos 14

Alex K:

Both defenses in this game have been playing at a high level and will face offenses that have struggled to generate points or sustain drives. Ultimately, it’s more likely that rookie Bo Nix makes a crucial mistake than Justin Herbert, which could prove to be the difference. Injuries to Denver’s offensive line while Los Angeles returns both starting offensive tackles should also tip the scales in the Chargers’ favor. Chargers 17, Broncos 13
