Staff and diners at a McDonald's in Harpurhey were caught up in a 'terrifying ordeal' in the early hours of Sunday (June 18).
An unknown man barged through the doors as customers inside were eating at the Rochdale Road branch, at around 4am, before attempting to steal money from the payment area.
No staff or customers were injured in the incident, with Greater Manchester Police now investigating as they continue to try to identify the offender.

Witnesses or anyone with any dashcam or mobile phone footage are being urged to contact the force immediately.
Detective Sergeant Jonathan Barnett, of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the staff and diners involved and thankfully no one was injured.
“We need to locate the person responsible for this. We are hopeful that someone may have seen something or witnessed any unusual behaviour around the Rochdale Road area at the time."
