Stacey Solomon shares 'saddest photoshoot ever' as she undergoes mini-transformation

Love for Stacey Solomon has poured in after she claims to have done the "saddest photoshoot ever". As she shared her own mini-transformation over the weekend, the mum-of-five was looking fabulous by the end of it and admitted she "felt really pretty".

The Sort Your Life Out star was looking for some respite after revealing that her husband Joe Swash was bedridden with "man flu". Sharing a post with her millions of Instagram followers, Stacey revealed how it had been just her with their three young children over the weekend. Later, the Manchester Evening News reported that she admitted to going to her mum's for some help.

Sharing how fans had been sending get well soon messages for Joe, she said it was making her appear like the "worst wife". The busy mum was speaking from her car while breastfeeding baby Belle, who was born in February. Stacey explained that her mum had looked after Rex, three, and Rose, one, for her so that she could dye her roots and head to the shops.

She added: "I must be the world's worst wife because all of you are so lovely like 'oh I hope Joe is ok... sending love' and wishing him better and I'm going to sound really horrible now... but I've just got like no sympathy for man flu."

She went on to explain: "I've got no sympathy for any flu he might have in all fairness to Joe. I've just got no sympathy. He can't do anything when he's not well, like literally nothing, so obviously he's been bedridden yesterday and today. He's been really trying to get himself back in order from his man flu but I'm almost jealous. I feel like going home and licking him and getting the flu myself just so I can have a couple of days' sleep. I feel like three under three is harder than flu."

It is then when mum-of-five Stacey went on to share her own recent struggle, explaining that she suffered from mastitis a few days ago - but Joe was working away meaning she just had to get on with it and care for their three children under three.

She added: "I had to pick my big swollen boob up and get some antibiotics and get on with it. But he can't function!" Stacey also typed alongside the clip to her millions of followers: "Is anyone else like this or am I just the worlds worst person?"

She also joked in the video that she would be returning to her mum "soon" after leaving her with two of the kids. Then later, Stacey returned to social media and shared a string of photos to her main grid as she showed off her freshly-dyed roots. The 33-year-old could be seen posing in the mirror with her blonde locks dried straight while sporting a white sweatshirt.

"Oh Hi Stace," she started. "Today for the first time in a very long while I felt like me again and not like a crusty foot. So I had a mini photoshoot with myself in my bedroom. So here's a hundred pictures of me feeling myself."

She went on: "I realise how sad this is but I felt really pretty and sometimes you lose yourself a bit, don't you, so I wanted some evidence that I'm not always rocking the fell through a hedge backwards chic. P.S. Thanks to Mumma Solomon for having the Rex and Rose long enough for me to sort my roots out while Joe nursed his man flu, bless him. Next time I'll only be an hour like I promised. Love you."

Stacey's Instagram Story revealed her mini make-over had made a difference to how she was feeling. She said: "Felt well pretty today [crying laughing emoji]. It's been a while so thought I'd document the occasion with the saddest bedroom photoshoot of all time."

Fans and friends were quick to support her and compliment her look. Replying to one post, one follower said: "There she is, you look incredible Stacey, gorgeous momma." Another added: "I think it's important to remind yourself that you're more than 'mum' - your hair is looking fabulous." A third joined in: "I love your hair this colour - you look beautiful."

The comments continued: "You're doing fab! Please be proud of you cos we all are." Someone else replied: "You look so fresh @staceysolomon and far from a crusty foot." Supporting the star further, another added: "You are smashing it @staceysolomon. Honestly I have no idea how you are doing it. But that's the strength of a mama."
