Stacey Solomon shares health message about Joe Swash after he's missed out of new I'm A Celebrity line-up

Stacey Solomon has shared a message about her husband Joe Swash after he wasn't including in the new I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! spin-off line-up. The brand new version of the hit ITV reality show was announced on Saturday night (March 25) by the show's hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

The Geordie duo halted their ITV entertainment show Saturday Night Takeaway to bring news of another programme they are well known for fronting as they revealed it will be returning to screens NEXT MONTH but not quite as we know it.

They announced the first group of celebrities taking part in the launch episode of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, an all-stars edition of the long-running show. It will see the return of some of the most memorable campmates from over the years in the new setting of South Africa instead of Australia.

Happy Monday legend Shaun Ryder, boxing champ Amir Khan, Olympian Fatima Whitbread and ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell are among the former campmates who were convinced by bosses to re-live their I'm A Celeb memories. And the series also won't be short of glamour because former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan and presenter Carol Vorderman are also taking part.

Completing the line-up are Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, supermodel Janice Dickinson and former royal butler Paul Burrell for what is set to be the toughest series yet.

However, other stars were also previously rumoured to be part of the line-up who haven't been included in the initial announcement including Corrie actor Andy Whyment, who took part in the show in 2019 where he was a close runner-up to former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa, and former winner Joe Swash, who ended up finding love on the show when his now-wife Stacey won the show in 2010.

Gillian McKeith, Georgia Toffolo, and Myleene Klass were also reported to have flown out to the new camp for filming last year as was Dean Gaffney.

While Stacey hasn't addressed the possibility of Joe still being involved in the show, after he spent time away from home filming around the same time last year, she did take to Instagram on Sunday (March 26) to share a message about her other half.

In an image posted to her Instagram Story, the couple's three young children Rex, Rose and newborn Belle could all be seen wearing matching outfits. They all sported sweatshirts with a sleeping Rose's reading: "Little Sister," while Rose, one, and Rex, three, had theirs branded with "big sister" and "big brother" respectively.

"Daddy has got man flu so it has been us three this weekend," Stacey, 33, typed alongside the heart-melting image. "He is recovering in bed! So this morning I am going to pop over to nanny's and hopefully grab a cuppa," alongside a crying laughing face and prayer emoji. She added: "Happy Sunday."

But fans of the former EastEnders star need not be disappointed just yet as it is believed that more celebs are set to be sent in throughout the series before the show crowns its first I’m A Celebrity Legend.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before. The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving."
