Stacey Solomon shares defiant body image message before asking fans to 'pray' for her

Stacey Solomon has shared her anxiety with fans as her fiance Joe Swash heads off on his stag do. The couple, who got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2020, are set to walk down the aisle in a matter of weeks.

Earlier this week, the Loose Women star shared a glimpse at the invites for the big day which takes place next month at their family home, adorably named Pickle Cottage. She said she was left in tears as she wrote out some 'special invites' for the nuptials which were pushed back.

Stacey and former EastEnders actor Joe were due to wed last year but their big day was postponed due to the pandemic and because Stacey fell pregnant with their daughter, Rose, who was born on Stacey's 32nd birthday in October.

And with little time left before their special day, Stacey did explain that she had already sent out save the dates via email but wanted some of her family and friends to have a tangible version as a memory of their day, with the personally designed invites featuring a floral border around a painted picture of their home with their two pet pooches - Teddy and Peanut - on one side and their late dog Theo - who died in Stacey's arms on Boxing Day - sat at the front door.

But while Stacey gets stuck into the finer details, Joe is heading off on his stag do to a currently undisclosed location. But it does appear that it may involve a flight as his wife-to-be was seen stressing over PCR tests. Posting a video to her Instagram story, Stacey was sat next to her fiance as he cradled their baby daughter Rose.

She captioned the video: "Omg it’s been the most crazy day because joes off on his stag do tomorrow AND HE HAS PREPARED NOTHING!"

In the video, the mum-of-four said to Joe: "I’m actually so worried about you going", to which he replied: "Don’t worry about me, worry about your dad." Stacey added another caption which read: "MY ANXIETY IS THROUGH THE ROOF! JOE AND MY DAD ON A STAG WEEKEND! PRAY FOR ME…"

And it was not the best time for her husband-to-be to be unprepared as Stacey was also nervously waiting for the launch of her new In The Style collection on Thursday night (June 23). The Summer of Love range sees Stacey venture into swimwear for the first time with the Manchester business and she proudly modelled the collection on her social media page to her millions of followers.

She addressed her new launch during Joe’s last day at home before his stag weekend in a second video which she captioned: “RUNNING AROUND TRYING TO CHECK JOES PCR AND MY COLLECTION LAUNCHES IN 5 MINUTES”. But she was soon back helping her other half who was packing his case - and Stacey was mortified.

"You're not taking the hareems," the Sort Your Life Out star was heard saying as she videoed Joe, 40, holding up a pair of very baggy trousers. She captioned the video: "He's only taking the hareems on his stag do [crying laughing emoji]. Good luck getting into anywhere with those bad boys @realjoeswashy."

Prior to her stressful evening making sure her fiance was organised, Stacey shared a defiant message on body image as she answered question from many of her 5 million Instagram followers about her collection. She was asked: "Which piece did you think would be most out of your comfort zone but absolutely love?"

To which she answered with a clip of her in a white floral two-piece bikini with the caption: "I can honestly say I’ve found this collection most daunting of all. I am so grateful for my body and I love it. But I am fully aware that there are so many people out there who will have their opinions on what I look like because I am no Victoria’s Secret model.

"So I was nervous making swimwear and then modelling it and sharing it on here but no matter what anyone says about you or how society tends to make people feel about themselves just keep telling yourself…" She the added: "F*** what anyone else thinks. Don’t give them that power."
