In her Instagram Stories, she wrote: "So many of you asking lots of questions about Teddy so I hope this helps..."
She shared a few facts about the dog including what breed he was and that he was six months old.
The Loose Women panellist explained: "We called him Teddy because Teddy can be short for Theodore so we thought it was a special tribute to Theo" and followed it with a crying faced emoji.
She added: "We didn't pick him out. We said we would take any dog suitable for young children and another dog. We didn't mind what breed, coat, colour, anything, as long as he would be happy and it was right. And along came Teddy.
"I have no idea how or why anyone could not want him or he wouldn't be 'good' enough, but apparently he is nowhere near the size he should be for his breed and that was one of the reasons why he wasn't kept by the breeder."
Teddy was adopted by Stacey and her family after being "abandoned."
The 32-year-old claimed that since losing Theo, her other dog Peanut had been "grieving" the loss of his best friend.
Announcing the news of the new addition, she said: "He was bred by someone who was breeding dogs for sale and he wasn't good enough for sale so they got rid of him...
"When we learned about him and then saw Peanut's reaction to him there was no doubt in our mind that he was coming home."
She went on to add: "I didn't know we would be able to bring him home straight away so we were a little unprepared. We've spent last night and today settling him in and getting him all sorted."
