Stacey Solomon says family will take life-saving course ahead of new home feature being complete

Stacey Solomon has revealed that she and her family will take a potentially life-saving course as a new feature at their home nears completion. The Loose Women star has excitedly been sharing updates on the pool being installed at her million-pound Essex Home.

Her loyal fans and followers have been keen to see updates as Stacey renovates her 'dream' home which she shares with fiance Joe Swash, their two children Rex, three, and seven-month-old Rose, as well as Stacey's two children Leighton and Zachary from previous relationships.

The family-of-six, which also often includes former EastEnders star Joe's son Harry, moved into the stunning home, adorably named Pickle Cottage, last year. And last month Stacey admitted to being 'embarrassed' as she shared an update about her outdoor pool which fans had been asking about.

The mum-of-four also ended up in tears after being a little bit taken aback by her son's comment as they looked out at what will soon be their very own pool. At the time, Stacey shared a video, panning around the shell of the pool as she and her middle son dangled their feet on the steps.

Now though, the water is in and is currently being warmed up ready to be used. But that hasn't stopped Rex from preparing for the occasion. Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Stacey shared a photo of her son sat in a rubber ring while donning a life jacket and tucking into a packet of crisps.

"Lots of you asking this," Stacey said as she posted a question of a follower asking: "Hows the pool doing?" The TV star then continued: "We are out here right now because Rex loves being here in his life jacket and rubber ring even though he's not swimming."

The 32-year-old then shared another snap of her son looking at the covered pool while donning swimwear, a life jacket and holding a rubber ring. "So close now," Stacey wrote before revealing what she has planned for her little gang.

"One of the things I'm most excited about is as soon s the pool is ready Joe, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and me are all starting a lifeguard course. They do rookie courses for children where they learn all of the same skills as adult lifeguard training which I think is amazing!"

As mentioned, last month Stacey ended up in tears as she and her son Leighton, nine, gazed at what would soon become their own pool. "Me and Leighton are just sitting in the pool, pretending it's filled," she was heard saying in a video shared with her millions of followers.

"I'm literally so excited. I can't believe we're going to have a pool one day." Leighton is then heard saying: "How did this even happen," as Stacey let out an emotion-filled giggle. Alongside the short clip, Stacey wrote: "Me and Leighton are just sitting in the pool pretending it's filled and Leighton just casually making me cry. I think he's trying to see if he can fill the pool with my tears."

A week later she went on to admit that it makes her "cringe" when she posts about the pool, as it almost makes her "feel embarrassed". The former X Factor star wrote: "Sooo many of you asking to see the tiles... But I know this is the most unrelatable content ever so I'm sorry. I do cringe sharing it... I almost feel embarrassed for some reason. But you guys genuinely ask about it every single day so here's the update!"
