Stacey Solomon says her 'boobs are on fire' as she explains social media absence

Stacey Solomon addressed her social media absence as she took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal she has got Mastitis.

The Loose Women presenter, 32, said she has spent the past few days on antibiotics battling the painful and 'awful' condition.

Mastitis is inflammation of breast tissue that sometimes involves an infection and commonly affects women who are breastfeeding.

It can cause swelling, redness and fever and chills.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Stacey, who welcomed her daughter Rose in October last year, wrote: "Good morning everyone. Sorry I've been so quiet.

"I got mastitis and felt like my boobs were on fire. It was awful. But after a few days of antibiotics I honestly feel like a new person.

"Happy Thursday everyone. What a beautiful warm morning. Hope you're ok."

Stacey shared the update alongside a sweet video of her son Rex, three, on the swing in their garden and Rose in the pram.

She later told her followers she felt well enough to organise underneath the sink and 'has never been so excited'.

It comes after Stacey hinted she would be interested in starring in a reality show with fiancé Joe Swash, about their life in Pickle Cottage.

The couple, who have five kids between them, regularly document their life at the Essex home, and the renovations they've completed, with Stacey showing off her craft work.

Fans of the pair had reason to hope they might see more of the couples antics last week, when The X Factor star retweeted a comment from a follower, who was keen to a reality show focussed on the family.

The tweet read: "I just want TV commissioners to know that I WOULD watch an hour length documentary every night about Stacey Solomon & Joe Swash's life at Pickle Cottage. Even if- no, especially if- it featured what Stacey cleaned or upcycled that day."

Stacey's hint comes after it was reported that the couple have been approached for a show, centred on their humble abode.

An insider told Heat: “Fans love seeing what her and the family get up to and are always begging for more when she puts up videos and pictures on her Instagram.

“Stacey is keener than Joe, but knows she can win him round.

“She’s so grateful for all the opportunities that have come her way, which have mainly been because of her Insta family, and would love to show even more of her home life.”

If a series did happen, it would be the latest in a series of projects for the busy couple.

EastEnders star Joe, 40, recently announced he has created a family friendly cook book, set to be published in October, while Loose Women panellist Stacey has launched her first ever home fragrance with Air Wick and she is the new host for Bake Off: The Professionals.

It has been one year since the family moved into Pickle Cottage, their £1.2million dream home, and Stacey has regularly shared the many renovations and changes the house has undergone since.
