Stacey Solomon's shares latest home DIY transformation using bargain wallpaper

Stacey Solomon has shared how she used bargain wallpaper to create a fake wood effect on one of her walls.

The Loose Women panellist is the DIY queen and uses her Instagram Stories to share all the tips and tricks she uses to create her dream home.

On Wednesday, the star took on a new project and shared how she created a fake wooden effect on her wall using £7 wallpaper.

"Finally got in here and I'm going to attempt to wallpaper this back wall!" she captioned a clip of her unrolling the wallpaper.

"I found this panel wallpaper on @dunelmuk website it was on sale for £7 which I though was amazing and the perfect colour for in here so hopefully I can actually pull this off I hardly ever wallpaper."

The wallpaper was a dusty green and looked glorious as she got to work on transforming the room.

She went on to explain the steps of wallpapering.

"Cut the lengths. Even, generous spread of paste. Lightly fold over both ends. Leave to go off for a few minutes, and hang. Leave a little lip over the top and spirit level the sides. Then slowly smooth out (I used a clean paint roller). Cut edges with blade. Cut corner edges and fold around, (some of my cutting was questionable)," she wrote.

Stacey then shared a clip of the wall she was going to cover with the bargain wallpaper.

"I only did a few lengths because the sunlight started to go fuzzy," she wrote. "And i'll be honest being so close to the lines was making my eyes go funny trying to match them all up."

The presenter added: "I love it. I think I'm going to put some covering at the top because the ceiling is a bit wonky, but I really like it, especially for £7!

"I'll finish it tomorrow and see how it all looks"

Stacey has been working on Pickle Cottage for quite some time now and is also planning her upcoming wedding to Joe Swash.

The loved-up couple, who have been together since 2016, are due to tie the knot on July 25 - after Joe accidentally revealed the date on Loose Women.

But as the big day approaches Stacey - who has spoken candidly about her struggles with anxiety and crippling panic attacks in the past - is starting to feel the pressure.

People close to Stacey revealed she has been panicking about every detail as the big day looms closer.

A source told Closer magazine: “Stacey’s been so excited to tie the knot, but as the date draws closer and the last-minute prep piles up – as well as public interest gathering pace – it’s made her quite anxious."
