Stacey Solomon has bagged a new presenting role on Bake Off: The Professionals.
The singer and presenter has signed up for the Channel 4 show as a co-presenter, replacing Tom Allen, who steps down from his hosting duty after three years on the show. Stacey will join current host, The Great British Bake Off's Liam Charles.
Channel 4's Bake Off: The Professionals - a spin-off from amateur baking show, The Great British Bake Off - sees professional bakers take on amazing patisserie challenges, set by Benoit Blin - the Head Pastry Chef at the Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons - and Cherish Finden, who is Executive Pastry Chef at The Langham, London.
The news was announced in a post on the show's official Twitter account.
"Choux la la!" it read, "We're chuffed to announce that @StaceySolomon will be joining @LiamCBakes, @BenoitBlin_MCA and @Cherish_Finden for the next series of Bake Off: The Professionals. Welcome to the petit fours-ome, Stacey! #GBBO."
Fans of Stacey's took to Twitter to share their excitement.
"Oh yay, this is amazing! We can't wait for this! #GBBO," one wrote.
A second added they were excited to see Stacey on the show, but said they'd miss Tom being on the show, as they wrote: "Stacey is lovely but sorry to see Tom Allen go x." A third quizzed: "What has happened to @tomallencomedy?"
Stacey previously teased she had an exciting new job - which had taken her away from her family.
"I might be a little quiet for a few days. Because at 5 am this morning I started a new job," she wrote with a laughing-crying emoji and a stressed emoji, "It's not close to home so Rose and me will be away for a few days. Miss the boys and the fur boys so much already. But also praying for Joe who's in charge of everyone and they break up for half term today."
However, the family soon reunited and Stacey was overjoyed to be back with her family.
She shared a sweet snap of Rose with the family's pet dogs, writing alongside it: "Just because they’ve missed each other I think… Rose & me have been away for a few days for work so we were so excited to come home and have all the cuddles.
"Now time to put everyone into their beds and have a nice early night… Happy Sunday Everyone. I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. Lots of love from us. Rose does not sleep with the doggies and I’m always right next to them when they’re together."
