Stacey Solomon's back to tell us how to tidy and fans are thrilled

It's been a while, but Stacey Solomon is back on TV screens to share her tidying tips with a messy nation. Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon started its second series on BBC One tonight (Wednesday) and it was straight into the tough decisions.

Stacey and her gang - organiser Dilly, carpenter Rob and cleaner Iwan - started out by challenging the Harris-Hawley family to sort their lives out in seven days. In what seems like a nightmare for most of us, they were charged with halving their possessions to help with the reorganisation.

The family - childhood sweethearts Dan and Char and their two daughters, Mia, 11, and Cece, who is three, rent a two-up, two-down from their local council. Stacey was pretty horrified when she saw they owned 437 DVDs, 200 hair bows, 59 hairbrushes and combs, and 1,011 toys.

Carpenter Rob created an ingenuous dining and storage solution in the kitchen. Cleaner Iwan gave the home a supersized spring clean, offering lots of useful tips along the way. Dilly reorganised the living room into a multipurpose space for kids and adults alike.

On social media, there were plenty of fans taking note of Stacey's top tips. In fact, it looked as if the UK was one happy country full of upcyclers, recyclers and tidy homemakers.

Shane R @ShaneRooD15 tweeted: "#StaceySolomon is a joy to watch on #sortyourlifeout she brings much-needed energy to January."

Another praise tweet came from Rachael @Rachael_Spratt who said: "Got my favourite person back on the telly ready to inspire my reorganisation @StaceySolomon #SortYourLifeOut #SYLO"

Ryan Glendenning @RyanTheSoapking obviously follows Stacey on Instagram, as he tweeted: "Watching #Sortyourlifeout with @StaceySolomon. Loved the last series.

"I like how creative Stacey is bringing her Instagram "Tap to tidy" initiative to life for us to see. She's inspiring us all to get more organised with our everyday [lives].

And if you needed a boost to get your tidy on, Helen the Zen @helenmallam added: "Stacey Solomon is back clearing people’s rubbish like a modern, anti-consumerism Boudicca and I am with her. #SortYourLifeOut"

Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon is on BBC One on Wednesdays at 9pm or catch up on BBC iPlayer
