Stacey Solomon has said her dad had been 'made' after she saw the results of her sweet gesture following her own baby shower. The Loose Women star, who is currently expecting her fifth child any day now, celebrated her impending arrival last month in a surprise get-together arranged by her sister.
Stacey, 33, thrilled fans when, on December 28, she took to Instagram to announce that she and her husband Joe Swash were expecting their third child together. Stacey, who affectionately calls her children 'pickles', and Joe are already proud parents to Rex, three, and one-year-old Rose. Stacey also has older sons Zach, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships while Joe also has 15-year-old son Harry with his ex, Emma Sophocleous.
But she left them floored when two days later, on December 30, she shared her first pictures with her blossoming bump and revealed she was already eight months pregnant. "When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves," she said at the time before adding: "But that didn’t leave us with very long left so this time next month we will be getting ready to say hello to a whole new pickle. So grateful."
And with little time until her baby girl makes her arrival, Stacey's sister Jemma got to work in organising a gorgeous baby shower for the mum-of-five-to-be, despite her not expecting to have a celebration due to it being her fifth child and there not being much time before she gives birth. But the pregnant TV star looked fabulous in a figure-hugging, off-the-shoulder pink dress as she was captured beaming from ear to ear while celebrating the imminent arrival of her second daughter.
She could be seen in the candid moment in the kitchen of her home, dubbed Pickle Cottage, which had been decked out with white flowers with a teddy bear hanging from the ceiling in a basket covered in balloons. The snaps also showed Stacey posing with Jemma, who placed a loving hand on her sister's grown bump, as well as her best pals Mrs Hinch and Charlotte Greedy.
And it now appears that Jemma's efforts not only made her sister's day but also the day of another mum-to-be. Taking to her Instagram Story on Monday evening (February 6), Stacey reshared a picture of another pregnant woman who also got to experience the same joy she did as she donated her baby shower balloons and decorations.
Alongside an image of the expectant mum and her baby shower, a post read: “Sometimes things just “work out” and lucky for us the wonderful @label.lady.i posted on her stories that they were giving away @staceysolomon’s baby shower balloons. This meant that we could transform a girl’s lunch into a special surprise celebration for my beautiful sister and one she will never forget.”
The post then added: "After all we have been through lately with our Evie being so poorly, this was a well deserved distraction. We are so incredibly grateful for their generosity and treasure the memories made, for a lifetime." Stacey herself then commented: “I gave away my balloons from my baby shower, so this lovely lady got to have them at her special baby celebration and the didn’t go to waste. Seeing this has made my day."
Meanwhile, as she eagerly awaits her baby girl's arrival, Stacey has been teaching her first-born daughter Rose to count. She shared an adorable video of the 16-month-old copying her mum as she counted from one through to six. "While I'm off work I'm trying to teach her some numbers," Stacey typed alongside a tearful emoji. "She loves 2 and 6 the best," she added with a crying laughing emoji.
Also on Monday, Stacey shared how she was trying to keep busy before her little girl makes an appearance. In a video shared with her millions of followers, former X Factor star and Queen of the Jungle Stacey could still be seen proudly sporting her baby bump as she watched her one-year-old daughter Rose be mesmerized by her own reflection in the mirror.
"Happy Monday from me, Rose, bump, and Joe and his mop peeking in," the Loose Women favourite typed alongside the video. "I got the mirror out to take bump pictures and Rose is LOVING discovering herself in it," Stacey explained with a crying laughing emoji. "I tanned and washed my hair yesterday knowing I'll be covered in placenta soon. Today I just want to clean everything. I just can't stop seeing dirt everywhere even though it's clean. Why???" And she had helpers as Joe and Rose were soon with a hoover and mop in hand.
