Stacey Solomon reveals first job after maternity leave with backing of Hollywood star

Stacey Solomon has already revealed what she'll be up to once her maternity leave comes to an end as she shared an exciting career update. The Loose Women star appeared in a brief video on her Instagram page after being flooded with well-wishes after revealing the gender of her fifth child.

Just a few weeks ago, Stacey announced that she and her husband Joe Swah were expecting their third child together, months after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in the garden of their sprawling Essex home. And it turns out the pregnancy came as a bit of a surprise as they found out 'later than usual' and didn't share the news with the world until Stacey was already eight months pregnant.

Then in further baby news, the 33-year-old finally confirmed the gender of her unborn child after plenty of questions from fans. She posted a snap to her Instagram Story showing her fussing her beloved pup, Teddy, who was getting up close to her exposed baby bump as she gazed down smiling.

Stacey wrote alongside the image: "Soooo many of you asking this. So..." But it took her a while to finish the sentence and after the anticipation amongst her more then five million followers, she finally shared that her youngest daughter Rose, who was born on Stacey's 32nd birthday in 2021, was going to have a baby sister.

The Loose Women star shared a string of images to her Instagram grid which showed her in a happy embrace with Rose, who was born on Stacey's 32nd birthday in October 2021. "When Rose Found Out She’s Going To Have A… Sister," Stacey penned. "So excited to share with you that we are going to be saying hello to another darling daughter soon. Sisters."

She added: "The boys are so excited. And the thought of Rose having a little sister as well as all of her amazing big brothers has filled Our hearts. I have the most incredible sisters in the world. They are my everything. I’m so excited for the boys, Rose and our newest little girl…"

And the messages came flooding in. Influencer and bestie Mrs Hinch, said: "Solomon Swash Sisters. Just perfect and a beautiful bond for life, love you all xxx." Presenter Kate Thornton replied: "That’s lovely Stace! Congratulations to you all! X" TOWIE star Georgia Kousoulou wrote: "Awwwww love love love." Former Made In Chelsea star Ashley James added: "Ahhhh so excited for you!! Congratulations. And we'll be baby girl twins!"

Later, after reading the comments about her latest news, Stacey returned to her social media profile to reveal that she has accepted a new job after being invited to work on a new Channel 4 show by a Hollywood star's production company. The programme, titled Brickin It, will see Stacey and team help people whose builders have left their projects unfinished.

It comes after she returned to screens earlier this week in her BBC One show, Sort Your Life Out, which sees the former X Factor star travel across the country with her team - made up of organiser Dilly Carter, carpenter Rob Bent and cleaner Iwan Carrington - to help different families transform their homes by getting rid of stuff they no longer need and helping them save space and money.

But announcing her new job, Stacey said in a video from her home while showing off her blossoming baby bump: "For a little while I've been talking to Channel 4 and a production company called Hello Sunshine which was founded by Reese Witherspoon. She created it to champion women in film and TV, she's just incredible at building women up and putting them at the forefront.

"And they asked me if I wanted to make a show with them and I was like' hell yeah I'll make a show with Reese Witherspoon's production company'. They are words I never thought I'd say. So in the summer we're gonna start filming a show called Brickin' It.

"And it's basically gonna be a show where we go in and help people who have been done over by bad builders, run out of funding, can't finish their projects and we're gonna help them get to where they need to be. And I get to learn new skills along the way so I'm gonna learn things that I have always wanted to do but I'm not confident with, so like roofing, bricklaying, proper DIY.

She then rounded off her post: "I can't wait. I'm so excited and just I'm so happy that I finally get to share it." It is thought that Brickin' It with Stacey will be Hello Sunshine's first UK project.
