Stacey Solomon reveals big change at Pickle Cottage home after leaving fans in tears with X Factor throwback for son's birthday

Stacey Solomon has revealed plans for a transformation at her family home weeks after the arrival of her fifth child. The Loose Women star and her husband Joe Swash welcomed their third child together into the world on February 7.

The couple, who wed in an intimate ceremony in the garden of their Essex home last July, delighted fans when they revealed they were expecting again just before Christmas. But the delight turned to shock when days after, Stacey debuted her baby bump for the first time and confirmed she was already eight months pregnant.

After keeping her fans updated in the last stages of her pregnancy, Stacey, 33, confirmed just before Valentine's Day that her and Joe's baby girl had made an appearance, saying she "literally flew" into the world as Stacey gave birth at home like she did with their daughter Rose in October 2021.

Since then, Stacey has kept her loyal social media followers in the loop on her new life as a doting mum of five as she also has sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships as well as Rex, Rose and now Belle with Joe. The former EastEnders actor is also a proud dad to teenage son Harry who he shares with his ex-fiancee.

And ahead of going back to work, which Stacey previously suggested would be soon, the Sort Your Life Out host has been getting to work at home and is planning on some changes at Pickle Cottage, the name for the family's gorgeous home due to Stacey's nickname for her growing brood.

Taking to social media, Stacey revealed she’s going to move Rex, three, into Rose's room so that her daughters can share together. It doesn't seem too long ago that the former X Factor finalist showed off Rex's Panda-inspried room transformation as well as the floral display she painstakingly worked on for Rose's bedroom while she was pregnant with the now 17-month-old.

In videos posted on her Instagram Story, Stacey was seen ripping down a flower wall in one room and filmed herself in the process as she said: "Started something exciting today..." Later calling it 'project room swap' the star further revealed her plans as she gave a last look at Rex's room before the changes begin.

She said: “It makes more sense for the girls to share & Rex to have his own room! Also Rex has outgrown pandas so I’m glad I did it all on a budget. Now I can swap them over and bring the bits I love from each room over and change Rex’s theme."

It comes after Stacey left her fans in tears by sharing a throwback from her time on The X Factor in 2009 in a tribute to her eldest son, Zachary, as he turned 15. The black and white montage showed Stacey during her audition for the ITV singing competition in which she spoke about her son.

"He means everything to me. He's my baby," the TV star remarked about her then one-year-old. In another snap, a beaming Stacey could be seen cuddling her son after finishing her stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle while Joe Swash also featured in the montage before Zachary was seen being a doting older brother to his younger siblings.

Finally, Stacey concluded the video with a short clip of her hugging her son on his birthday, backdropped by a pair of silver balloons and a number of presents which had been placed on the kitchen counter. "Look How Far We've Come My Baby," she started the caption of her post to her millions of followers.

"15 Wonderful Years Of You Zachy. Thank you for everything Zach. You are all our rock. I cannot even believe how quickly it's gone and what a kind caring young man you've become. I'm so proud of you. To the moon and back always my darling," she added.
