Stacey Solomon remembers how people used to judge her when she became mum at 17 in sweet Mother's Day post

TV presenter Stacey Solomon has shared her inspiring and heartfelt thoughts on being a mother since she was just 17-years-old in a lovely Mother's Day post. The mother-of-five says she "barely remembers" her life before becoming a mother to Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose and baby Belle, who she gave birth to last month.

But she also flagged that she was judged as a teen mother, recalling the 'looks' she would get as a teen mother. The 33-year-old, who is married to Joe Swash with who she shares her three youngest children, also said remembered "all of the things that people would say when they saw a 'child raising a child.'"

Stacey shot to fame on The X Factor when she was still a young mum and has since gone on to host her own show, Sort Your Life Out, appear on I'm a Celebrity and is a Loose Woman. Just last month she shared that eldest son, Zach, was staying up to keep her company on night feeds with Belle.

The sweet post about motherhood was posted on Instagram and Stacey said: "I’ve been a mum since I was 17 years old I barley [sic] remember life before becoming mum. I do remember all of the looks I’d get & all of the things that people would say when they saw a “child raising a child”. I can’t believe I am now a mummy of 5. And all I can say is, not one of those judgments or opinions back then were true. No matter how real they felt I look at each of them now and I have never felt so proud. They are the kindest most amazing people and I was a part of that Zachy, Leight, Rex, Rose, Belle You are all my biggest blessings. My greatest achievements. Every single one of you have [sic]made me who I am. I’m so grateful for you all. And it’s the biggest privilege raising you all. Forever my little pickles. To the moon and back always Happy Mother's Day to all of you mum as out there. Sending lots of love to all of you who find today extremely difficult."

Fans replied to the post with their own personal stories about being mothers as Stacey returned to the post to comment about having a 'support network' on the social media platform.

One fan wrote: " I was a mother too at 17 and honestly she was the best thing to happen to me. Made me the women/mother I am today. I also got those looks/comments. But we brush them off and move on."

Another said: "Im right there with you, mum since 17 and can’t remember life before my babies, there is no right or wrong age, no right or wrong way, everyone is different and do things their own way in their own time."
