Stacey Solomon got a bit cheeky with her Instagram followers as she made a comment about her husband Joe Swash after he complained she's 'not excited about him. The Loose Women star took to the social media platform on Friday (October 21) to show off her latest DIY project.
She got to work creating some office plinths and showed off the process in a video posted to her Instagram Story set to the energetic Beyonce track, Upgrade U. "I love my bathroom plinths so much i thought I'd make some for the office..." Stacey, 33, explained alongside her video of her sawing and drilling.
"I had one small one left over from my sister but you need two [crying laughing emoji]," Stacey added. "They're so expensive to buy like hundreds of pounds so, scraps of leftover MDF screwed together in a rectangle, vinyl wrapping paper and that's it."
The mum-of-four also shared how getting involved in DIY and crafting is 'like therapy', adding: "I love making things so much. Honestly it just really gives me a chance to shut my brain up for a second." She then showed off the finished product in a room with a painted black wall on one side and a panelled white wall on another.
"I'm going to use them to display all of my special things I get to make with brands because I'm so proud they deserved a plinth," Stacey laughed. "I'm so happy with them."
Later, Stacey filmed herself as she relaxed after her busy day of DIY. "I really enjoyed that. I'm back in, everyone's asleep," she started by saying. "I'm going to go back to the office tomorrow to sort out my stationery," she added in an excited tone.
Her husband Joe, 40, could then be heard in the background saying: "It's not normal to get so excited about that." Stacey laughed and replied: "It's totally normal. Stationary is just amazing." But former EastEnder star Joe then commented: "I wish you'd get that excited about me."
"If you were like fruity gel pens I'd love you," his wife laughed in response before the video to her millions of followers on her Instagram Story ended. She also typed alongside the clip: "Tbf [to be fair] if Joe was a pack of fruit-smelling gel pens I'd sort him out every night," adding a crying laughing emoji.
Earlier this month, Joe admitted to feeling 'guilt' over his happy family life with new wife Stacey. The couple tied the knot over the summer in an intimate Jewish ceremony in the garden of their gorgeous home, affectionately dubbed Pickle Cottage.
Stacey and Joe said 'I Do' 19 months after getting engaged during a romantic winter walk on Christmas Eve 2020. The showbiz couple were meant to tie the knot last year, but the wedding was postponed due to the pandemic. Following the delay, Stacey fell pregnant with their first daughter, Rose - who was born on the Loose Women presenter's 32nd birthday last year and recently celebrated turning one.
He told The Sun's Fabulous: "I actually feel guilty about how happy I am with life, my family and Stacey. There have been years when I had a lot of grief and went through a long depression, and I’d sort of given up on ever having a family and all this love." Joe was 11, his dad died from the undiagnosed heart condition Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.
But Joe believes his wife Stacey was ‘an angel’ sent to him by his dad to ‘bring me out of real darkness in my life. He added to Fabulous: "If I hadn’t met her, everything would have been very different. I don’t know what would have happened to me."
