Stacey Solomon feels like a 'winner' despite BAFTAs snub as she scoffs late night burger

Stacey Solomon left the BAFTA TV Awards 2022 feeling like a winner, despite not picking up one the prestigious awards on Sunday night.

The Loose Women presenter - who was nominated in the Best Features category - told her loyal Instagram followers she felt "like a winner" as she munched on a burger on her way home from the swanky event at Royal Festival Hall.

Her followers clearly agreed, as Stacey, 32, went on to share a selection of "heartwarming messages" from fans telling the mum-of-four she was a winner in their eyes.

The former X Factor contestant had been nominated in the Best Features category for her BBC show Sort Your Life Out, but was beaten by the cooking show Big Zuu’s Big Eats.

"We didn't win," Stacey told her 5.1million Instagram followers as she chowed down on a McDonalds burger on her way home on Sunday night.

"But I feel like a winner right now."

The DIY enthusiast went on to thank her loyal fanbase for their messages and confessed the well wishes were "actually warming my heart all the way home".

Stacey then decided to share a few of the sweet messages sent to her on Instagram, alongside a snap of herself alongside husband-to-be Joe Swash and a message that read: "I love you all".

"You're our winner Stacey - enjoy your McDonalds," one fan gushed to the star, with another adding: "You're always a winner to us Stace xx".

Earlier in the evening, Stacey and Joe got fans thinking they had tied the knot already, thanks to the mum-of-four's bridal-inspired outfit for the BAFTA TV Awards.

Sharing a series of snaps to her Instagram account ahead of the swanky showbiz bash, Stacey looked stunning in a full-length white gown alongside former EastEnders actor Joe.

"Here we go. Off to the Baftas with my best friend. Couldn’t do any of it without you. Never felt so nervous & proud… No matter what I’m so grateful to even have been nominated.

"Never ever ever did I think I’d be saying that," the star captioned the pictures taken in the grounds of her beloved Pickle Cottage.

"Thank you all for your constant kindness and support . To the moon and back. Happy Sunday everyone. Lots of love from your Bafta nominated neat freak."

Commenting on her all white look, one wrote: "I thought you’d got married then!! Have a great time xx", while another added: "For a moment I thought you’d got married!!"

With a third also commenting: "Seriously thought you’d gone and got married!! Have the best time, soak it all up xx."

Joe popped the question to Stacey on Christmas Eve 2020 after the loveable pair had been dating since 2016.

The couple first met thanks to reality TV show I'm a Celebrity..., which they have both won over the years and have welcomed two children into the world together since beginning their romance.
