Stacey Solomon has opened up about how she sometimes feels like a “failure” as she juggles looking after five children, saying that she tries to remind herself about how well she’s doing instead.
The Loose Women star, 33, uploaded a sweet post to Instagram, in which she discussed the self-doubt she sometimes feels as a parent, deciding to be kind instead of talking down to herself, quipping that she was feeling “like a superhuman”.
She wrote: “Proud Feeling like I smashed it today Don’t mind if I sound big headed but I felt like a superhuman today.
“For some reason lately I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job & I never tell myself how well im doing. Three 3 & under & two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy.”
She continued: “Joe did a night feed for me last night & then went to work So we did the school runs and then afterwards I managed to make it for the first time EVER to Rhyme time at the library with Rex, Rose & Belle Spent some time with other mum’s & felt so nice to see Rex & Belle enjoying being out of the house.
“Then we stayed out as long as we could, came home, played play dough shops did tuna pasta dinner & this evening was swimming lesson for Rexy. Now we are home & I’m ready to collapse on the sofa & start the cluster feeds.
“Sorry for the essay. but basically Just a little reminder that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not. You’re so incredible don’t forget to tell yourself that sometimes.”
Her fans and followers were quick to agree, with one user writing: “It’s becoming easier to put yourself down rather then big yourself nowadays but looking at this picture we can all say you are smashing it.”
Another commented: “My little lady is 2 weeks old and I feel completely the same , telling myself all the stuff I’m failing at not the things I’m achieving. Your doing a fab job and smashing it @staceysolomon xxxxx.”
A third commented: “Parents are superhero’s it’s a fact.”
A fourth chimed: “So special those memories well done for not sugar coating it. Will make a lot of people feel a lot better to read this xxx.”
