Stacey Solomon brands herself the 'worst wife ever' amid Joe's ill health as she shares own struggle

Stacey Solomon has told her fans that she must be the "worst wife ever" as she failed to show sympathy for her husband's bout of ill health. The Loose Women star revealed on Sunday (March 26) that Joe Swash had been in bed with 'man flu' leaving her solo with their three young children.

In an image posted to her Instagram Story, the couple's little one's Rex, Rose and newborn Belle could all be seen wearing matching outfits. They all sported sweatshirts with a sleeping Belle's reading: "Little Sister," while Rose, one, and Rex, three, had theirs branded with "big sister" and "big brother" respectively.

"Daddy has got man flu so it has been us three this weekend," Stacey, 33, typed alongside the heart-melting image. "He is recovering in bed! So this morning I am going to pop over to nanny's and hopefully grab a cuppa," alongside a crying laughing face and prayer emoji. She added: "Happy Sunday."

The message came after fans were confused to see Joe wasn't included in the new I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! spin-off line-up. The brand new version of the hit ITV reality show was announced on Saturday night (March 25) by the show's hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

The Geordie duo halted their ITV entertainment show Saturday Night Takeaway to bring news of another programme they are well known for fronting as they revealed it will be returning to screens NEXT MONTH but not quite as we know it.

They announced the first group of celebrities taking part in the launch episode of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, an all-stars edition of the long-running show. But fans of the former EastEnders star need not be disappointed just yet as it is believed that more celebs are set to be sent in throughout the series before the show crowns its first I’m A Celebrity Legend.

But back to Stacey and later on Sunday, after heading to get some help from her mum with her children, the Sort Your Life Out host shared how fans had been sending get well soon messages for Joe making her appear like the 'worst wife'.

Speaking from her car while breastfeeding baby Belle, who was born in February 7, Stacey explained that her mum had looked after Rex and Rose for her so that she could dye her roots and head to the shops. She added: "I must be the world's worst wife because all of you are so lovely like, 'Oh I hope Joe is ok...sending love' and wishing him better and I'm going to sound really horrible now... but I've just got like no sympathy for man flu."

She went on to explain: "I've got no sympathy for any flu he might have in all fairness to Joe. I've just got no sympathy. He can't do anything when he's not well, like literally nothing, so obviously he's been bedridden yesterday and today.

Stacey asked if anyone else felt like she did (Stacey Solomon Instagram)

"He's been really trying to get himself back in order from his man flu but I'm almost jealous. I feel like going home and licking him and getting the flu myself just so I can have a couple of days sleep. I feel like three under three is harder than flu."

It is then when mum-of-five Stacey went on to share her own recent struggle, explaining that she suffered from mastitis a few days ago but Joe was working away meaning she just had to get on with it and care for their three children under three.

She added: "I had to pick my big swollen boob up and get some antibiotics and get on with it. But he can't function!" Stacey also typed alongside the clip to her millions of followers: "Is anyone else like this or am I just the worlds worst person?" adding a crying laughing, prayer and monkey covering eyes emojis.
