Stacey Solomon "an emotional mess" as she issues update on newborn baby daughter

Stacey Solomon has updated well-wishers after announcing that she has welcomed her second daughter with husband Joe Swash. Mother-of-five Stacey, 33, gave birth at their family home Pickle Cottage, saying the newborn "literally flew" into their world.

Stacey, who announced the joyous news on Saturday, February 11, has since taken to Instagram to speak of her emotion and excitement at becoming a mum again. Sharing a photo of herself and Joe beaming as they weighed their daughter, the Loose Women panellist updated as she thanked fans for their support: "I'm sitting in bed doing the cluster feeds ahead of night night time."

She typed later on Saturday night: "I forgot how hard breastfeeding is at the beginning but I'm so excited to establish it. Your messages, comments, stories and everything are just so. so. so amazing. Thank you. I'm so grateful for my family on here and I just love you."

Stacey, who also has sons Harry, 15, Zachary 14, Leighton, 10, Rex, three, and daughter Rose who was born in October 2021, explained: "My milk came today so I'm an emotional mess. But love you all lots and lots and can't wait to catch up with you all properly. She's incredible and the other pickles are just so in love with her."

On Sunday she returned to give more details about her tiny bundle of joy and addressed her having a head of dark hair, "I literally pulled her out and was like 'Joe she's got hair.'" she smiled.

"She's got more hair than Rose and it's really dark." Stacey told followers that she's feeling "really good." And she added: "I feel so lucky. I'm soaking up every second."

Announcing the news of her birth she wrote: She’s Here our beautiful, daughter born at home with all of your brothers and sister ready to snuggle you forever and ever.

"You literally flew into our world … And none of us can quite believe your thick dark head of hair that we just can’t get over. We can’t believe your here."

On Tuesday Stacey told her Instagram followers that she thought the birth was imminent as she thanked her baby bump with a final photo. "Thank you for everything bump," she wrote.

"Woken up with that feeling and so Just incase I don’t get the chance to say it tomorrow… I’m so grateful for them all. For every single time you’ve done this."
