Stacey Solomon addresses Loose Women role after exit fears as she hints at due date on ITV's Lorraine

Stacey Solomon has spoken about her role on Loose Women after fears she had left the show. The TV star appeared on-screen on Thursday morning (January 12) as she chatted to Lorraine Kelly about the return of her BBC show as well as the impending arrival of her fifth child.

The 33-year-old, who only announced she was pregnant two weeks ago, showed off her blossoming baby bump as she rushes to finish all her work commitments before the new baby's arrival which is 'imminent'. Stacey looked glowing in a figure-hugging turquoise dress the showed off her gorgeous bump.

The mum-to-be styled her blonde locks into curls and looked glam with a slick of peachy-toned makeup. Joining Lorraine in the ITV studio, the pair discussed the upcoming series of Sort Your Life Out which was filmed before she made her pregnancy announcement.

With Lorraine joking she had boiled the kettles and kept Dr Hilary Jones on standby incase she went into labour, mum-of-four Stacey said: "Nearly there now, very soon. It was a surprise but we're so grateful that we get the chance to do it again."She also added of herself and her husband, Joe: "We just love being parents."

Stacey's role on Loose Women was also mentioned by Lorraine, to which she said she loved being on the show. It comes after fans feared she had left the programme after not appearing for a long period of time. She also didn't appear at the ITV lunchtime show's festive bash.

The former X Factor star, however, did make a surprise appearance in the last episode of Loose Women of 2022, suggesting she was still very much part of the line-up. "Again, I'm just grateful to be on there," Stacey told Lorraine. "When I was on X Factor 14 years ago... I never even thought I'd be on a show like this never mind have opportunities like Sort Your Life Out and Loose Women.

"So every time I get to do something like that I'm genuinely like 'thank goodness, this is amazing!'. You've just got to keep enjoying it because you never know when it'll be gone and when those things aren't going to be there."

When asked how she keeps her busy home life balanced, Stacey added: "We do our best, nothing I do is perfect and sorted. I'm grateful just to be alive so I'm always really happy." Lorraine asked: "Are your children very neat and tidy?" to which Stacey said: "It's funny because I think it's just in you isn't it?

"My eldest is just absolutely happy to live in like a pig's sty. He loves it and I let him. I let him because it's not my job to tidy in there. If that's how he wants to live then that's how he lives. My middle is really regimented. He can't function at all unless everything is in the right place, so he's really tidy. And then the little ones are the little ones aren't they? You have to sing the tidy up song 17,000 times."
