Stacey Dooley BBC entertainment show axed after second series

Stacey Dooley's entertainment series This Is My House has been axed after its second series. The show saw stars attempting to guess who the genuine owner of a home was.

They were given four contenders to pick from - with the twist being that only one was telling the truth. The other three imposters were played by actors.

The Richard Bacon-created show launched in 2021 to rave reviews, with one critic describing it as "all the best bits of Big Brother, Through the Keyhole and Would I Lie to You?” However when it returned for a second series Dooley did not appear and the episodes were reduced to half an hour.

At the time, the BBC said the show had "evolved". It said the new episodes would feature "more amazing houses and bizarre humour", the Mirror reports.

A BBC spokesman said: “Sometimes difficult decisions have to be made, so whilst there will be not be another series of This is My House on BBC One and iPlayer, we would like to extend our thanks to Richard Bacon and the entire team at Expectation plus all our celebrity sleuths for two series of the show.”
