A man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man and then barricaded himself inside a unit in Adelaide's west.
The victim, a 40-year-old local man, was taken to Flinders Medical Centre by paramedics, who were responding to reports a person had been stabbed in the hand and arms at Glenelg North.
Emergency services were called to Sandison Terrace just before 5:30pm on Saturday.
Police have described the victim's injuries as non-life-threatening, but said STAR (Special Tasks and Rescue) Group officers had to force their way into his alleged attacker's unit after he barricaded himself inside.
The 47-year-old suspect was arrested and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for assessment.
Police said that they expect to charge the man, once he is returned to custody, with aggravated assaulting causing harm and possessing a knife in a public place.
Police have said both men are known to each other, and that investigations are ongoing.
