Stabbing suspect named, woman 'eating KFC' died in crash and 'property hotspot'

Second suspect named after teen boy, 16, stabbed in church graveyard

Police have released the name of a second suspect connected to the stabbing of a teenage boy.

Officers attended a stabbing at Our Lady of Compassion Formby Parish, on School Lane, on Tuesday, March 8. A 16-year-old boy was found with serious injuries and rushed to hospital.

Earlier this month, a man was charged in connection to the incident. Sonny Collins, of Maple Close, Bootle was charged with robbery, possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).

Now a second man has been charged.

Gym manager, 28, was 'eating KFC while driving' moments before fatal crash

An inquest heard that a woman in a fatal crash was eating KFC as her car strayed into the wrong side of the road.

Anna Ledgar was travelling to work at Macclesfield Football Club where she worked as the club's gym manager. The 28-year-old, from Uttoxeter, ordered food from KFC and then drove along the B5030 Ashbourne Road, shortly after 1pm on October 18.

Her car then either drifted or swerved over the central white line and into the path of a taxi. The taxi driver, who was seriously injured, recalled a ‘massive bang’.

What life is really like living in Merseyside's new 'property hotspot'

Residents of a newly labelled "property hotspot" have spoken out about the reality of living in the town.

There have been property developments across Formby in recent years, and property developer Barratt Homes have called the town a hotspot. However, some residents are not as quick to agree.

One person, who moved to the area from Litherland, said: "It’s not as nice as it used to be.

"It doesn’t do anything for me now. Formby just doesn’t have the infrastructure for all the houses, it only has three roads in and out and they’re already choked. The bypass was a country road when I was a boy now look at it, it’s horrible."
