Tragedy struck in the northern Israeli city of Haifa on Monday when a 70-year-old man was killed and four others were wounded in a stabbing attack. Israeli authorities confirmed that the assailant was also killed during the incident, which took place at a central transit hub in the city.

Details about the attacker, described as an Israeli citizen, have not been disclosed by the police. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities are treating it as a militant assault, especially amidst heightened regional tensions surrounding the Gaza ceasefire.
